When I was a student, patenting was the only accepted route for sharing research hardware. That frustration led us to start the Delft Open Hardware initiative. Today, OSHNED — Open-source Hardware Infrastructure for The Netherlands, a national NWO-funded initiative, connects six Dutch institutions to build an open hardware ecosystem. Join us to hear how grassroots frustration grew into national infrastructure, and how you can get involved and play a role.
